at a TimeHave you ever felt drained, distracted, or just “off”—and couldn’t quite put your finger on why? And more times than I can count, the answer has had something to do with my surroundings. Not because there was anything really wrong with the house itself, but because it had gradually become filled with things I was tolerating rather than truly enjoying.

In one of our recent LIFE’s Inside Track conversations, we unpacked a powerful truth: your home is either giving you life or subtly depleting it. There’s really no such thing as neutral. The great news is, revitalizing your space and energy doesn’t require a full-scale renovation. Sometimes, it begins with a single 90-minute burst of intention.

A focused 90-minute session—just one—can shift your mood, your productivity, even your sleep. Whether you tackle a chaotic junk drawer or sort through that stack of paper that’s been silently growing for months, small changes made intentionally can unlock surprising clarity. Set a timer. Turn off distractions. Choose one task and let yourself experience the relief that comes from progress. Even the tiniest bit of movement can be the catalyst for new energy and fresh momentum.

The little things we tolerate—like squeaky doors, flickering bulbs, or that handle that falls off every time you touch it—might seem harmless, but they quietly wear us down. We’ve found that listing 13 tolerations and working through just one a week can have a ripple effect far beyond the physical space. It brings a fresh sense of calm and control. And perhaps even more than that, it reminds you that you don’t have to settle for “just okay.” You’re allowed to feel peace in the places you live.

Of course, some home improvements take more than an hour or two. Bigger projects often need to be paced out intentionally. It can be helpful to create a plan for the coming year or so—laying out which changes to take on and when. Maybe this is the season for painting, and next spring is when you’ll rework the landscaping. Having a long-range vision gives clarity while reducing the pressure to do it all at once.

If aligning your home energy with your financial future is something you’re ready for, we’d love to invite you to our Building Wealth Wisely Workshop on July 23. It’s 90 minutes well spent, and if you have teens between 15–21, they can join for free. Because it’s never too early—or too late—to make wise shifts. And this might just be the nudge you didn’t know you were waiting for.

There’s something profound that happens when your space begins to reflect not just where you’ve been, but where you’re going. When you walk into a room and feel relief instead of resistance. Calm instead of chaos. Beauty instead of burden. It doesn’t have to happen all at once. It rarely does. But the moment you say yes to one drawer, one repair, one decision to reclaim your space—something shifts.

And that shift? It doesn’t just stay in your house. It moves through your body, your schedule, your conversations. It strengthens you. It makes room for hope. When your home reflects who you are becoming—not just who you’ve been—it changes everything. Your thoughts get lighter. Your heart opens up. One 90-minute session can be the start of something so much bigger. You might be surprised by how good it feels to walk into a room and finally think, Ahhh… this feels right.
