First impressions are everything, meaning that a potential buyer for your home will almost always know right off the bat if that’s the home they want to buy. One of the cheapest most effective ways of getting your home ready for market is painting your home.
Whatever you choose to do, don’t paint the home in your favourite colours because you’re not the one who is going to be living there, and your favourite colours might not appeal to anyone else. You’ve probably heard the term “go neutral” but many people misinterpret neutral as beige or white and let’s be honest, if you walked into a home that was painted beige or white, that’d hardly be a selling point. We’ve found that warm earth tones have been received the best.
Another surefire colour is brown. There are so many colour combinations of browns that you can experiment with. We recently had a client who had very neutral coloured walls, Light blues, and white. We recommended a warm brown/tan colour scheme and picked out the colours for our client. Here are some before and after shots of the living room and dining room.
